ABOUT WAHABA: Wahaba Karuna has been leading the Dances of Universal Peace since 1985 and is very involved in mentoring new Dance leaders. She specializes in Dances from the Goddess and Earth traditions, and leads with lively humor and devotion. She teaches peer counseling, emotional healing and breathwork. She is a Sheikha (teacher) in a lineage of Sufism, a mystical path which cultivates devotion and celebrates all of the world's spiritual traditions. |
| THE DANCES: The Dances of Universal Peace are simple, participatory dances which involve singing, chanting and moving in harmony, creating a feeling of fellowship and warmth, and thus deepening the spiritual and bodily experience of the Divine and expanding the heart. These dances are easily learned, with gentle movements that even "non-dancers" can greatly enjoy. |
