Sharon Byrd   Mon 4th, 10a and 4p Sharon Byrd • HAI

Where did you learn about love, intimacy and sexuality? What we often don't realize is that our very ideas about these topics may prevent us from fully expressing and receiving love. This presentation will provide experiential opportunities to examine these crucial areas in our lives. Come and join us for a deep dive into intimacy which can powerfully affect your time at Summer Camp.

Sharon Byrd facilitates conflict resolution, clear communication skills and a monthly Human Awareness Institute (HAI) support group. She presents at HAI intros and community nights. She believes that we are on this human journey to learn to love, and delights in creating experiential opportunities for others to find expanded ways to dive more deeply into the experience of loving. Sharon brings her joyful heart, practical mind and endless humor to all that she does.

William Van Vechten   Mon 4th, 8p William Van Vechten & Valerie • Intro to Temple

This is an opportunity for campers to get an orientation to our sacred sexuality space. As in previous years, we'll convert the round schoolhouse on the upper part of the property into a sacred and safe play space for adults who wish to explore intimacy on a more physical level. This orientation is the chance to learn some details, ask questions, maybe find out others' interests and desires, hear once again that "no means no", and really appreciate our commitment to safe and fun adult play.
William Van Vechten, CSB, works as a Relationship Coach and Somatic Sex Educator, is an initiated Tantric Priest, and the creator of the Conscious Loving website.   more info: www.honoringthehumanbody.com

Heart of Now is primarily a practice of honesty that encourages participants to be fully present with themselves and each other. By becoming aware of how we are feeling and what we are thinking in each moment, we can interact with others in a way the that allows greater honesty, connection and intimacy. Heart of Now both nourishes the individual and community. This workshop is designed to deepen your connections and your experience of summer camp.
Lisa Stein has been involved in Heart of Now for 7 years, first as an assistant and now as a facilitator. She has long been a support person to people and communities in many ways. Kelly Quirke Kelly Quirke • Working with Change for Positive Change
Thu 7th, 10a and 4p

Change is. Many individuals and organizations seeking a better world describe their actions as working for change, when in fact change happens, constantly, no matter what we do. What if we shifted our perception and altered our actions to working with change? What would that look like? How do we work with the "forces of change" to develop the outcomes we seek for a healthier, peaceful future? In this workshop Kelly will describe his experience and ideas working as a director of both an international and a very local group to suggest the best paths and strategies to craft and nurture positive change towards a better world.
Kelly Quirke is the Executive Director of Friends of the Urban Forest (FUF) in San Francisco. Veronica Monet   Tue 12th, 4p and 8p Veronica Monet • Poly as a Path to Peace

For as long as there have been humans to record history, humans have pondered solutions to violence. Superstition, taboos, rules, codes of conduct and laws have been variously employed and enacted in an attempt to curb what is often considered one of our baser “animal” instincts. In this workshop, Veronica Monet presents proven solutions to the broader societal problems of rape, murder and war as well as the more personal day to day frustrations with communication and connection. She even goes so far as to claim a healthy relationship to sex and gender can solve global warming.
Veronica Monet is a Certified Sexologist (ACS) and Sex Educator (SFSI). She has spent over a decade in the sex industry as an escort, prostitute, porn actress, and producer of porn. She has advocated for sex worker‘s rights through her writing, public speaking, television appearances, and daily life. She is particularly interested in sharing her knowledge and experience in a manner that will enrich and improve the lives of others.
